Revery

Last fall I had the honor of painting the interior of the new Acoma House Events space that has since hosted weddings, retreats and parties. This past week I wrapped up another mural on the exterior! The request was florals and I was going for romantic and timeless. It was a bit of a struggle with scaffolding and the extreme heat but we got there. Check it out on the corner of 11th and Acoma St.

This may be one of my favorite paintings I've done! My recent obsession with images of royalty and my long time love for Alice in Wonderland culminated in this piece I created for Threyda gallery. I loved painting this curly red hair and my first time painting a tea cup. Check it out in person, she is now for sale!

I was asked to create a piece inspired by the goddess Freya including their two cats. I haven't painted cats in a while and have never depicted this bright red hair so both were a fun exploration. This 22 x 30 piece was a fun commission and books are back open if you have an idea you want to explore!

I had the pleasure of doing one of my favorite commissions lately, the ask was.. whatever you want! I created another koi inspired painting and loved the gold leaf design on this jacket even more than the first. I feel a few more in this series may be coming in the future.

Starting February 24 I'll be doing a print show at Hooked on Colfax in Denver CO. The show includes all framed and mounted prints and a couple available original clock paintings. Each is available for a deep discount so pick them up now until the end of March!

Breaks between commissions means time to create more unique clock designs. These two clocks were recent finds and a bit of a departure from what I usually paint. I've had this design in my sketchbook for a while, and the slow season has given me the chance to paint it. This 8 x 8 oil painting is currently for sale!

I have to admit this is one of my favorite paintings I have created and a fun way to close out the year. The client asked me to create a piece inspired by a painting she had found of a girl surrounded by fish. This is my interpretation and I look forward to creating more images with a similar composition and/or gold detailed jacket.

I had the honor of being asked to paint a "feather armor" girl inspired by a client's daughter. This 2 x 3ft oil included some detailed gold chain details I've been wanting to try out along with warrior braids that I love to create.

Tried my hand at creating a large version of these bell alarm clocks. This face measures around 8.5in in diameter and features a stormy ship scene. I'm currently taking commissions for paintings including any custom clocks.

Holiday season means making more clock paintings! One was a request for another "eye" design like some of the former pieces and the second is an idea I've wanted to create for a while; something a little more surrealist and Wes Anderson inspired. The fish is for sale and there's still one more big clock to come!

I was asked recently to create a version of my Porcelain series that included more of the figure. This painting was definitely a challenge but oil painting is always a nice change from murals when the seasons change. This one is 2 x 3ft on cradleboard and a private commission.
