Oils in Progress

With the rainy week we've had in Denver, it's a nice opportunity to visit some of the oil paintings I have in the works. The first is a personal piece which will be part of the series on water I have been working on. When completed, the figure will float in a milky pool surrounded by white fabric and shadowed plants. It is a continuation on the idea of emergence which feels so necessary these days.

The second is the start of a portrait in a different series. It depicts one of the brothers in a family, each member will have a painting represented by tarot card-style designs. They will aim to capture the essence of the person and their role in the family. Looking forward to working more on these...
